MLB: San Diego 7, San Francisco 2

SAN DIEGO, April 19 (UPI) -- San Diego broke a four-game losing streak Monday with a 7-2 win over the San Francisco Giants.

The Padres broke the game open with a five-run seventh-nning rally that included a three-run double by Mark Loretta.

Phil Nevin also drove in three runs for San Diego.

Jake Peavy (2-0) allowed one run and six hits in seven innings for the win. Brett Tomko (0-3) was the loser, giving up six runs and eight hits in 6 2/3 innings.
