MLB: Atlanta 11, Philadelphia 4

PHILADELPHIA, April 15 (UPI) -- Two solo homers each by Raul Mondesi and Rafael Furcal Friday night helped give Atlanta an 11-4 victory over Philadelphia

It was the 2,008th career victory for Atlanta Manager Bobby Cox, tying him for eighth place on the all-time list with Leo Durocher.

Atlanta had just nine hits in producing its 11 runs and three of them came from Furcal. The Braves had lost their previous two games.

Starter Horacio Ramirez (1-0) earned the victory by allowing three runs on six hits over 5 1/3.

Gavin Floyd (1-1) suffered the loss, giving up eight runs in 3 1/3.

Atlanta opened the game with a four-run first with Floyd contributing four walks in the inning.
