MLB: Kansas City 6, LA Angels 2

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 9 (UPI) -- Denny Bautista allowed one run over eight innings Friday night in carrying Kansas City to a 6-2 victory over the Los Angeles Angels.

Bautista gave up three hits and struck out eight for his first major league win.

Mike Sweeney had two doubles and drove in two runs while Tony Graffanino had two hits and two runs scores.

Paul Byrd gave up six runs on nine hits in seven innings. Both Los Angeles runs were driven in by Garret Anderson.
