ANAHEIM, Calif., April 8 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Angels defeated the Texas Rangers 7-6 Thursday, scoring the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning on a single by Steve Finley.

Jeff DeVanon walked, got to third on a walk and groundout and then scored on Finley's hit to left.

Bengie Molina slammed a three-run homer for the Angels.

Alfonso Soriano hit a home run and scored twice for Texas.
