The Braves won their third in a row. The Mets have lost their first four games of the season for the first time in 41 years.

New York's only run came on a Mike Piazza homer.

Mets starter Victor Zambrano (0-1) hit Marcus Giles with a pitch in the first, then walked Andruw Jones with two away.

An infield single by Adam LaRoche scored Giles and Johnny Estrada singled home Jones.
