MLB: Atlanta 4, Florida 2

MIAMI, April 7 (UPI) -- Tim Hudson gave up one run in five innings during his Atlanta debut Thursday as the Braves downed Florida, 4-2.

Hudson was traded to Atlanta from Oakland and his first appearance for the Braves was solid as he struck out two while allowing six hits.

Eddie Perez drove in two runs in helping the Braves win their second game in the three-game series.

Danny Kolb picked up the save despite giving up a run in the ninth.

A.J. Burnett gave up all four Atlant runs in six innings.
