NBA: Washington 114, Portland 106

PORTLAND, Ore., March 29 (UPI) -- The Washington Wizards defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 114-106 Monday.

Washington took the lead late in the first half and stayed ahead the rest of the way.

Gilbert Arenas led the Wizards with with 28 points and Larry Hughes had 25.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim scored 19 points for the Blazers, who have lost eight of their last nine games.
