Cornerback Juran Bolden signs with Bucs

TAMPA, Fla., March 29 (UPI) -- Cornerback Juran Bolden joined his sixth NFL team Tuesday -- the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Bolden, an eight-year veteran, returns to his hometown where he once starred in football and track at Hillsborough High School.

Last year, Bolden played for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also has been with Atlanta, Green Bay, Carolina and Kansas City.

Bolden is seen as a leading candidate to suceed Mario Edwards, who was released in a salary-cap move, as the nickel back for the Bucs.

Career totals for Bolden include 114 tackles and seven interceptions. He also has often played on special teams.

Bolden's pro career included stints with Winnepeg in the Canadian Football League in 1995 and 2000.
