Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

TEMPE, Ariz., March 28 (UPI) -- All-American forward Ike Diogu of Arizona State said Monday he will enter the 2005 NBA Draft, but keep his NCAA eligibility options open.
"I want to declare for the NBA Draft, leaving my options open without having an agent," said Diogu, the 2005 Pac-10 Player of the Year.
Diogu, a junior, has averaged 21.4 points in 91 career games. He is the Sun Devils' third all-time leading scorer with 1,946 points.
Underclassmen have until May 14 to declare for the June 28 NBA Draft, but can remove their names until June 21.
Diogu led the Pac-10 in scoring (22.6 ppg.), rebounding (9.8 rpg.) and blocks (2.34 bpg.). He was the first player to lead the league in all three categories.
