NBA: New Orleans 96, Memphis 85

MEMPHIS, March 26 (UPI) -- J.R. Smith scored a career-high 33 points Saturday night when the New Orleans Hornets posted a 96-85 road victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

P.J. Brown added 19 points and 14 rebounds to help the Hornets earn their fifth road win in 35 attempts this season.

New Orleans stopped a four-game losing streak and got its first win against a Southwest Division foe this season. The Hornets entered with an 0-14 mark against divisional opponents.

Brian Cardinal led the Grizzlies, who had won four of five coming in, with 17 points and eight rebounds.
