NBA: Dallas 104, Charlotte 93

DALLAS, March 20 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki 33 points Saturday night as the Dallas Mavericks knoked off the Charlette Bobcats, 104-93.

Dallas Coach Don Nelson resigned earlier Saturday. Nelson, who has coached in the NBA for more than 26 seasons will remain with the team as a consultant.

Avery Johnson is assuming Nelson's coaching duties on an interim basis.

The Mavericks have won five of their last seven games.

Keith Bogans scored 27 points to lead the Bobcats, who have lost 10 straight and 20 of their last 22 games.
