COL BKB: Washington 97, Pacific 79

BOISE, Idaho, March 19 (UPI) -- The seventh-ranked Washington Huskies brushed aside 20th-ranked Pacific, 97-79, Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Nate Robinson scored 23 points and Bobby Jones 19 for the Huskies (29-5) who advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time in seven years.

Washington, the top seed in the Albuquerque bracket, will next face the winner of Sunday's Georgia Tech/Louisville game next Thursday.

Eighth-seeded Pacific (27-4) was led by Guillaume Yango who had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Pacific was the Big West regular-season champion.
