Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
BOISE, Idaho, March 17 (UPI) -- Washington began its NCAA Tournament bid Thursday with an 88-77 win over the Montana Grizzlies.
The Huskies (28-5), top seed in the Albuquerque bracket, raced to a 13-0 lead and never trailed.
Brandon Roy led Washington with 17 points and Tre Simmons had 15.
Kamarr Davis led Montana (18-13) with 24 points. Matt Martin added 15.
