Roddick, Agassi move ahead at Indian Wells

INDIAN WELLS, Calif., March 13 (UPI) -- Andy Roddick and Andre Agassi posted second-round wins Saturday at the Pacific Life Open at Indian Wells, Calif.

The third-seeded Roddick defeated Spaniard Fernando Verdasco 6-3, 6-3, 7-6 (7-2). The ninth-seeded Agassi downed Australian Wayne Arthurs 6-4, 6-1.

Other seeded players advancing included Guillermo Coria, Gaston Gaudio and David Nalbandian of Argentina and Tim Henman of Britain.
