LOS ANGELES, March 12 (UPI) -- No. 13 Washington defeated No. 8 Arizona Saturday to capture its first-ever Pac-10 Conference Tournament title.
Tre Simmons had 18 points and nine rebounds and Nate Robinson also had 18 points for the Huskies (27-5), who nailed down an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament with their seventh win in eight games.

Washington lost to Stanford in last year's tournament finale.
Salim Stoudamire tied a career-high with 37 points for the Wildcats (27-6). The loss may have cost Arizona a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Stoudamire hit 12-of-20 field goal attempts, including 7-of-13 from three-point range.
