PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., March 11 (UPI) -- Brett Wetterich recorded his second 66 in a row Friday to move a shot in front of Lee Janzen after two rounds of the Honda Classic.

Wetterich did not suffer a bogey and took the 36-hole lead for the first time in his PGA Tour career.

Robert Damron and first-round leader Chad Campbell shared third place at 135 -- three shots out of the lead. Nick Watney was alone in fifth at 136.

"It's nice, obviously, to be in a position where you have a chance to shoot a couple of good rounds and maybe change your life," Wetterich said.

"But I'm going to go out there and try to play and stay focused like I did the last two days and just take them as they come."

Vijay Singh, ousted from the world No. 1 spot last week by Tiger Woods, was at 4-under 140.
