Another jockey arrested in Brit cheat ring

LONDON, March 8 (UPI) -- British police Tuesday arrested a sixth jockey for allegedly conspiring to fix horse races during a two year period, the Telegraph reported.

The unidentified jockey was jailed on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud -- the latest in a string of arrests stemming from a London investigation into British racing corruption.

Jockeys Kieren Fallon, Fergal Lynch, Paul Bradley, Robert Winston and Darren Williams were among 26 people accused of fixing more than 80 races during the past two years. They have all denied the charges, the Telegraph said.

Police have been analyzing more than 1,000 pieces of evidence as part of the ongoing investigation.
