The Miami Herald reported the 6-5, 290-pounder, who played for Kansas City in 2004, received a signing bonus of just more than $1 million and with minimum base salaries, the deal could be worth a total of $5 million overall.

Holliday, 29, was released by the Chiefs in a salary cap move late last month.

Last season, he had 13 tackles, four quarterback pressures and two passes defensed, but missed the final seven games because of a groin injury.

The seven-year veteran out of North Carolina was the 19th overall selection in the 1998 draft by Green Bay. He has appeared in 91 career games (82 starts), and has recorded 353 tackles (220 solo), 37 1/2 sacks, six fumble recoveries, six forced fumbles and two interceptions.
