Warner, a two-time NFL MVP and three-time Pro Bowl selection, spent the 2004 season with the New York Giants. In 10 games (nine starts) with the Giants, he passed for 2,054 yards with six touchdowns and four interceptions.

Waner was replaced as Giants' starter by rookie Eli Manning after consecutive losses to Chicago and Arizona.

Warner, 33, voiced displeasure about backing up Manning after the season ended.

Arizona has Josh McCown and Shaun King as currently its top two quarterbacks.

Warner went from the Arena Football League and NFL Europe to star with the St. Louis Rams. He was the league's Most Valuable Player Award in 1999 and 2001 and MVP of Super Bowl XXXIV by guiding the Rams to a win over Tennessee.
