COL BKB: Boston College 78, Rutgers 66

PISCATAWAY, N.J., March 5 (UPI) -- Jared Dudley scored 21 points Satuday night while leading the fifth-ranked Boston Eagles to a 78-66 victory over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

The Eagles (24-3, 13-3 Big East) earned a share of the Big East regular season championship with Connecticut, which won earlier in the day against Syracuse.

Boston College will be the number one seed in the Big East Tournament.

Ricky Shields led Rutgers with 21 points. Quincy Douby added 18 and seven assists. The Scarlet Knights (9-18, 2-14) closed their regular season by losing six of their last seven games.
