TAMPA, Fla., March 1 (UPI) -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Mike Alsott has agreed to a restructured contract that could let him finish his career with the Buccaneers.
"There's no question you want to go out on top and turn a couple loose ends into a very successful season for the team," the six-time Pro Bowler said Tuesday.
Alstott has had 61 career touchdowns, tops in team history. He has run for 4,837 yards and is tied for sixth behind Warrick Dunn in receptions with 259.
A knee injury forced Alstott to miss much of the 2004 season.
