NBA: New Jersey 104, Cleveland 98

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Vince Carter had 34 points and 11 rebounds Sunday to lead the New Jersey Nets to a 104-98 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Nets nearly blew a 20-point, third-quarter lead before winning their second game in a row.

Jason Kidd added 14 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds for the winners.

The Cavaliers got 28 points from LeBron James and Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 20 points and 18 rebounds.

Cleveland, which trailed 58-46 at the half, now has lost six straight on the road.
