Sharapova wins Qatar Open

DOHA, Qatar, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Seventeen-year-old Maria Sharapova won her ninth WTA title Saturday, defeating Alicia Molik in the championship match of the Qatar Open.

Sharapova came from behind to win 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. The Russian teenager also won the Pan Pacific Open earlier this month.

Molik, 24, of Australia, was trying for her second title of the season.
