SEATTLE, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Tre Simmons led the way with 27 points Thursday night as No. 13 Washington fought off Arizona State, 90-82.
The Sun Devils stayed close through most of the second half and trailed by only three after Ike Diogu made two free throws with just over a minute to play.

But Nate Robinson made a layup for Washington with 47 seconds remaining and Arizona State's Tyrone Jackson was called for charging moments later to end Arizona State's last hope.
Washington, a game behind Arizona in the battle for the Pac-10 regular-season title, improved to 22-4 for the season and to 12-3 in league play.
Arizona State slipped to 18-10 and 7-9. The Sun Devils were led by Diogu's 31 points.
