NEW DELHI, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Indian officials are talking with the International Cricket Council to host the 2011 World Cup, the Times of India reported Saturday.

ICC President Ehsan Mani met with Sports Minister Sunil Dutt and other officials about tax concerns for the 2011 event.

The ICC allotted India the 2002 Champions Trophy, but moved the event to Sri Lanka after the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government refused to grant requested tax exemptions.
