COL BKB: Michigan State 68, Purdue 57

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Michigan State placed four players in double figures Saturday in an easy 68-57 Big Ten victory over Purdue.

The 10th-ranked Spartans rose to 19-4 overall and 10-2 in the Big Ten with their fifth straight win.

Their scoring was so balanced that their high man, Alan Anderson, had only 12 points.

Maurice Ager also had 12, Chris Hill 11, and Drew Neitzel 10 for MSU.

The Boilermakers, who got 15 points from David Teague, fell to 7-16 overall, 3-9 Big Ten.

Michigan State swept the season series after winning at home in East Lansing on Jan. 18. It now has beaten Purdue 11 of the last 15 times the schools have met.

Matt Kiefer and Brandon McKnight each added 12 for the Boilermakers.
