Federer reaches Rotterdam semifinals

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Roger Federer won for the 29th time in 30 matches Friday while reaching the semifinals of the ABN AMRO World Tournament.

Federer, the sport's top-ranked player, defeated sixth-seeded Nikolay Davydenko, 7-5, 7-5. He is trying to bounce back from a semifinal loss to Marat Safin at the Australian Open.

Federer will meet Mario Ancic in the semifinals after Ancic upset three-time runner-up Tim Henman, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-4).

The other semifinalists will be Thomas Johansson and Ivan Ljubicic.
