CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Curtis Withers scored 18 points Wednesday night and No. 23 Charlotte fought off a DePaul comeback for a 66-62 victory.

Eddie Basden added 15 and E.J. Drayton had 12 in helping Charlotte win its fourth straight and move into a share of the lead with Louisville in Conference USA.

The 49ers are 18-4 on the season and 9-2 in the league.

DePaul (16-6, 8-3) was led by 25 points from Drake Diener.

A 24-12 run gave DePaul a one-point lead with three minutes remaining, but Charlotte finished the game on an 8-3 run.
