Lonard, Montgomerie share halfway lead

VICTORIA, Australia, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Peter Lonard and Colin Montgomerie held a one-shot lead in Australia's Heineken Classic Friday at 9-under-par 133.

Lonard and Montgomerie each shot 65 at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club.

Trevor Immelman and Jarrod Lyle were at 134 and Craig Parry, Henrik Stenson and James Nitties at 135.

A group at 136, tied for eighth place, included Ernie Els, who has won the tournament the past three years.

Among players missing the cut (142) were two-time winner Michael Campbell, Greg Norman, Nick Faldo and Thomas Bjorn.
