NBA: Memphis 110, Utah 94

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Pau Gasol scored 23 points Saturday night as the Memphis Grizzlies posted a 110-94 victory over the Utah Jazz.

Memphis has won 11 of its last 13 games.

Shane Battier scored 13 of his 16 points in the first quarter for Memphis.

Utah was led by Mehmet Okur with 22 points.

Utah star Andrei Kirilenko, who had missed 26 games with a knee injury, was activated Saturday. He played 12 minutes and hadh two points, two rebounds and two blocked shots.

Utah trailed only 67-66 late in the third period, but Memphis held a 79-70 edge going into the fourth and led by 19 points four minutes later.
