MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Alan Anderson had 13 points and seven rebounds Saturday to lead the 16th-ranked Michigan State Spartans to a 69-55 victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Maurice Ager and Shannon Brown added 12 points each for the Spartans (12-3, 4-1 Big Ten), who have won nine of their last 10 games.

Jeff Hagen scored 16 points for Minnesota (13-5, 3-2), which lost for just the second time in 13 games.
The Spartans were 26-of-28 from the free throw line, including Anderson's 11 for 12 effort. Anderson was 5-of-6 from the charity stripe in the final minute to seal the win.
