Wagner again put on IL

CLEVELAND, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers Tuesday placed guard Dajuan Wagner on the injured list for the fourth time this season, this time for colitis.

The three-year veteran missed the first seven games of the season with a right ankle sprain and was also sidelined because of plantar fasciitis in both feet. That injury causes an inflammation or rupture of the ligament on the bottom of the foot, causing difficulty walking.

Wagner has played in only 11 games this season averaging four points and 1.2 assists per contest.

He was hospitalized last week with intestinal flu and was later diagnosed with an inflamed large intestine.

The Cavaliers activated center DeSagana Diop from the IL.

Diop, who has been sidelined with a left elbow contusion, has played in only 15 games, averaging less than 1 point and 2.7 rebounds.
