NBA: Detroit 90, New Orleans 76

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Chauncey Billups had 25 points Wednesday night and Richard Hamilton 20 as Detroit won its third straight, 90-76 over New Orleans.

Ben Wallace collected 19 rebounds and, with 11 points, was one of five Pistons in double figures.

Baron Davis paced New Orleans with 16. New Orleans had won its previous two games, boosting its season victory total to four.

Detroit broke open the game with an eight-point run in the third period and the Pistons took a 15-point advantage into the final quarter.
