NEWPORT, R.I., Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Jim Courier, Yannick Noah and Jana Novotna, all grand slam winners, were elected to the International Tennis Hall of Fame Tuesday.

Also joining the hall was tour administrator Butch Buchholz.

Courier, 34, was a four-time grand slam champion in his 13-year career. He won 23 singles titles and six doubles titles, including back-to-back Australian Open Singles championships in 1992 and '93 and back-to-back singles championships at the French Open in 1991 and '92.

Courier was ranked No. 1 in the world for 58 weeks and played on American Davis Cup championship teams in 1992 and '95. He retired in 2000.

Noah, 44, was the first native of France to win the French Open (in 1993) and is the country's former Davis Cup captain.

Novotna, 36, a Czech star, won Wimbledon in 1998 and was runner-up in 1993 and '97.

Buchholz was the founding member of the first men's players' association in 1963. He later was commissioner of World Team Tennis and ATP executive director.
