SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Northern Illinois came from two touchdowns behind and defeated Troy 34-21 Thursday in the Silicon Valley Bowl.
Quarterback Josh Haldi ran for two touchdowns for the Huskies, who erased a 14-0 first-quarter deficit and led 24-14 at the half.
A.J. Harris ran for 120 yards and a touchdown for Northern Illinois, which finished its season with a 9-3 record.
Troy quarterback D.T. Howell ran for one touchdown and passed for another for the Trojans (7-5).
