SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Veteran outfielder Moises Alou, for the second time in his major league career, is on a team managed by his father, Felipe Alou.

The San Francisco Giants signed Moises Alou to a two-year contract Monday.

Giants Manager Felipe Alou also managed at Montreal from 1992 to 1996 when his son played for the Expos.

Moises Alou, a 14-year veteran, has a lifetime batting average of .300. He hit .293 with 39 home runs and 106 runs batted in last season for the Chicago Cubs.

"He's one of the top five most dangerous hitters in the National League," Giants General Manager Brian Sabean said.

Moises Alou will turn 39 during the 2005 season and likely will share playing time in right field with Michael Tucker, 33, possibly giving the Giants the oldest outfield in major league history with Barry Bonds (40) and Marquis Grissom (37).
