INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Peyton Manning says there was nothing fancy about his record-setting pass to Brandon Stokley against the San Diego Chargers.
Manning's 21-yard touchdown toss with less than a minute to play Sunday was his 49th scoring pass of the year, breaking a two-decades-old record held by Dan Marino.

The Indianapolis Star reported this comment from Manning after the game: "You think the NFL is real complex. I whispered to (Stokley): 'Hey, run a post.' It turns into street ball real quick."
A hometown crowd of 57,000 at the RCA Dome roared after the pass, which the Colts followed with a two-point play to tie the game, and then won 34-31 in overtime.
