INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Peyton Manning set an NFL record with his 49th touchdown pass of the season and Mike Vanderjagt kicked a 30-yard field goal in overtime Sunday as Indianapolis beat San Diego 34-31.

Manning's 21-yard pass to Brandon Stokley with under a minute to play in the fourth quarter broke Dan Marino's record of 48 touchdown passes in 1984.

The Colts came back to win from a 31-16 deficit early in the fourth quarter.

Drew Brees tossed three touchdown passes for the Chargers, who had won their previous eight games.

Indianapolis is 12-3, San Diego 11-4.
