HARRISBURG, Pa., Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Former NFL linebacker Lee Woodall's Super Bowl ring is attracting big bucks on e-Bay, but he probably won't get any of it.
Woodall starred for the San Francisco 49ers when they won Super Bowl XXIX in 1995. But, a decade later, retired from football and beset by business and legal problems, Woodall had to forfeit his diamond-studded ring to a former business partner.
The ex-partner, Eric Garonzik, listed the ring on e-Bay this week and offers are in the thousands. He says he won't take less than $60,000, the Harrisburg Patriot News said.
Garonzik's lawyer said Woodall offered the ring as collateral for the court judgment, then did not make a payment to retrieve it. He said it became Garonzik's property Dec. 9.
