NEW ORLEANS, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Tim Duncan had 19 points and 12 rebounds Friday night in leading San Antonio to its third straight win, 83-67 over New Orleans.

San Antonio trailed by five after one period, but the Spurs gradually took control of the game. Beno Udrih added 12 points for San Antonio.

Lee Nailon, who had missed four games with a groin strain, scored 22 points to lead New Orleans.

The Hornets were trying for their first two-game winning streak of the season. They have won just twice in 20 outings this year.
