NBA: Portland 100, Atlanta 84

ATLANTA, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Zach Randolph scored 23 points Friday night and Portland pulled away in the second half for a 100-84 victory over Atlanta.

Darius Miles added 20 points and eight rebounds in helping give the Trail Blazers their first road victory in six tries.

Josh Smith paced Atlanta with 14 points.

Portland led by only four at the half, but went on a 10-0 run in the third period. Atlanta climbed back to within five with eight minutes remaining only to have the Trail Blazers score seven in a row to break open the contest.
