Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

SACRAMENTO, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant made all six of his field-goal attempts in a big third quarter Thursday night as the Los Angeles Lakers rolled past Sacramento, 115-99.
Bryant scored 31 points and had 12 assists while Lamar Odom contributed 22 for the Lakers.
It was the second home loss for the Kings this season, who began a five-game homestand.
Los Angeles had a six-point halftime lead and then dominated the third period. Bryant had a four-point play during the quarter, in which the Lakers outscored the Kings by 15.
The Lakers shot 55 percent for the game and now will return home for six straight games.
Sacramento was led by 20 points each from Chris Webber and Bobby Jackson.
