COL BKB: Kansas 93, TCU 74

LAWRENCE, Kan., Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Wayne Simien scored 20 points Thursday night and No. 2 Kansas finally pulled away to defeat Texas Christian, 93-74.

TCU was within five points six minutes deep in the second half, but the Jayhawks went on a 12-2 run that broke open the game.

Kansas has opened the season with five straight wins.

Keith Langford had 17 points for the Jayhawks and J.R. Giddens had 13.

TCU (5-3) was led by 20 points from Nile Murry.
