COL BKB: Cincinnati 88, Vanderbilt 72

CINCINNATI, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Armien Kirkland scored 19 points Thursday night in helping No. 20 Cincinnati stay unbeaten with an 88-72 win over Vanderbilt.

Cincinnati ran its record to 6-0 with Jason Maxiell producing 18 points, Erick Hicks and James White 14 each and Jihad Muhammad 11.

Vanderbilt (4-4) lost for the fourth time in five games. The Commodores were paced by 17 points from Mario Moore.

The Commodores led by as many as 10 points in the first half, but Cincinnati then stormed into the lead with a 39-14 run over the final 14 minutes of the opening period.
