COL BKB: Connecticut 97, Northeastern 60

STORRS, Conn., Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Josh Boone had 19 points and 14 rebounds Monday to lead the 6th-ranked Connecticut Huskies to a 97-60 victory over Northeastern.

Charlie Villanueva had 17 points and Denham Brown 15 for unbeaten Connecticut (4-0).

Marcus Barnes scored 20 points for Northeastern (2-4), which has lost three of its last four games.

Boone led Connecticut with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the opening 20 minutes as UConn had a 43-28 lead at the half.

Barnes scored 16 of his points in the first half while the rest of his team combined to shot 4-of-30 in the period.
