Young Jo keeps LPGA qualifying lead

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Young Jo maintained her lead in the LPGA Tour Qualifying Tournament Friday by firing a 2-under 70.

Jo stood at 9-under 207 through three rounds of the five-round event.

Highly-touted amateur Paula Creamer was alone in second at 208 following a 70 while Beth Bauer, who was rookie of the year on the tour two years ago, stood at 209 following a 71.

Cathy Johnston-Forbes, Maria Hjorth and Lee Ann Walker-Cooper were all at 211.

The top 35 players will earn spots on next year's tour.
