Rookie leads Australian PGA

COOLUM, Australia, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Australian rookie Greg Nitties led American Bob Estes by one stroke Friday at the halfway mark of the Australian PGA Championship.

Nitties, 22, shot a 7-under-par 65 for a total of 132. Estes, who had led after the first round, shot 70 for 133.

Peter Lonard held third place at 134 and and Craig Parry and Peter O'Malley were at 135.
