TEMPE, Ariz., Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Arizona's Emmitt Smith, the NFL's all-time leading rusher, will miss at least one game with a toe injury, the team reported Monday.

Smith was hurt in the first quarter of a 13-3 loss to the New York Jets Sunday. He returned to the field briefly after the injury and then left the game.

Larry Croom will start in Smith's place against the Detroit Lions Sunday.

Smith leads the Cardinals with 679 yards rushing and eight touchdowns this season.
