
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Gerald Riggs scored on a 12-yard run with 38 seconds left Saturday to give the 15th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers a 37-31 win over the Kentucky Wildcats.
Rick Clausen completed 26-of-41 passes for 349 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Volunteers (9-2, 7-1 SEC), who have won six of their last seven games.
Tennessee had already clinched the SEC East Division and will face undefeated Auburn, the 3rd-ranked West winner, in next week's SEC Championship Game at Atlanta.
Cedric Houston rushed for 127 yards and Robert Meachem caught five passes for 145 yards for the Vols.
Shane Boyd was 20-of-32 for 218 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for the Wildcats (2-9, 1-7), who lost eight of their last nine contests. Boyd ran for a touchdown.
Jacob Tamme had two receiving TD's and Scott Mitchell had nine receptions for 111 yards for Kentucky.
