Detroit's Drummond may be out for season

DETROIT, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Detroit Lions kick returner Eddie Drummond is likely lost for the season because of a shoulder injury.

Drummond fractured his left shoulder blade during Thursday's 41-9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts when he was hit returning the opening kickoff of the second half.

"He'll have a CT scan (Friday) to determine if it requires surgery but it looks like he's going to be out for the year," Coach Steve Mariucci told the Detroit Free Press after the game.

Drummond ran two punts and two kickoffs back for touchdowns this season.

Reggie Swinton is Drummond's backup. Swinton had one punt return touchdown and one kickoff return score last season.
